Licence terms.
These terms cover the Complex Chamfer add-in for Autodesk Fusion and Complex Chamfer Studio. Installing or using either means you accept them.
Complex Chamfer is made by Open Window Entertainment, LLC, of Seattle, Washington ("we"). Last updated 2 November 2026.
1. The licence
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Complex Chamfer under the terms of the licence you have: the free trial, Personal, or Commercial. You don't buy the software itself; we keep all rights in it.
- Free trial. For evaluation only: 30 days, 10 conversions or 50 converted features, whichever runs out first, on one computer. Don't sell, share or upload what you make with it. Trial output carries the origin mark.
- Personal. A one-time purchase for non-commercial use: your own prints, gifts and hobby projects. Selling what you make, client work, and uploading to sites that pay or reward uploads with money, points or credits (such as MakerWorld) are commercial use. Personal output carries the origin mark. Emboss and Pedestal are not included. Updates within the major version you bought are free.
- Commercial. A yearly subscription for any use, including commercial use. Output has no origin mark, every feature is included, and you get every update while subscribed. If it ends, you can keep using Complex Chamfer on Personal terms for 30 days (or for good, if you also own a Personal licence); after that it stops until you renew.
Each key works on up to two computers at a time, in both the add-in and Studio. You can move it by deactivating a computer.
2. What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent or publish your licence key, or use one key on more computers than it allows.
- Remove, hide or alter the origin mark, or work around the licence checks or the trial's limits.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the software, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
3. What you make is yours
We claim no rights in your models or in what you make with Complex Chamfer. The origin mark is a small, invisible variation in the chamfer slopes that shows output was made under a trial or Personal licence; it doesn't identify you.
4. Buying, renewals and refunds
Payments are handled by Stripe, the merchant of record, which charges any sales tax or VAT. A Commercial subscription renews each year until you cancel it in the billing portal; cancelling stops the next renewal. If something goes wrong after you buy, email support@complexchamfer.com within 14 days for a refund. A refunded or disputed purchase's key stops working.
5. Internet connection
Complex Chamfer contacts our licence server to start the trial, to activate a key, and about once a day while licensed. A licensed copy keeps working offline for up to 14 days between checks. See the privacy notice for what is sent.
6. No warranty
Complex Chamfer is provided "as is". We work to make its output correct, but we don't warrant that it is free of errors, or fit for any particular purpose. Check converted models before you manufacture or sell anything made from them, and keep copies of your originals.
7. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or materials, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for your licence in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
8. Ending the licence
Your licence ends if you break these terms; you must then stop using Complex Chamfer. Sections 3, 6, 7 and 9 continue after it ends.
9. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Autodesk and Fusion are trademarks of Autodesk, Inc.; Complex Chamfer is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodesk. We may update these terms; the version on this page applies to updates you install after the change. Questions: support@complexchamfer.com.
